In 1789, at the dawn of the Revolution, Versailles continues to live a carefree life, ignoring the tumult that roars in Paris. When news of the storming of the Bastille reached the Court, the castle empties of nobles and servants. Sidonie Laborde, young reader entirely devoted to the Queen, stays behind believing she will be protected by Marie Antoinette. These will be the last three days they spend together.
