By giving voice to child victims of sexual abuse in her book The Demons of Eden published in 2005, the journalist also becomes a victim of organized crime to be imprisoned and charged with defamation. Since his arrest in late 2005 and during 2006 and 2007, Lydia Cacho has dealt with his defense and to report to the networks that bind a group of businessmen and corrupt politicians who cling hard to their positions of power.
