Before she became the first person to swim from Cuba to Florida without a shark cage, record-breaking swimmer Diana Nyad attempted the same feat four times before she was ultimately successful in September 2013. Diana was forced to stop during her third try, in September 2011, after being stung by box jellyfish, which are said to contain the deadliest venom in the ocean.
